I found this black & white striped knit dress at a thrift store a few years ago (wow, how time flies), and I’ve worn it many times on hot summer days. I never totally loved it, though, and I determined it was because the skirt was too long and stripes too bold for my 5’4” frame. The bottom has also seen better days, as the white was starting to turn see-through, ahem. So I hacked it in two, and now have both a tank top and some really cute dust cloths. With this style of top and type of fabric, I didn’t even bother hemming the bottom - which is good, because I am still terrible at sewing in a straight line. If you want a more "abstract" hem, I’m your girl.
The most important part of this post is that I discovered a dinosaur-themed park hidden a few blocks from my house. Rawr.
